Hungarian minister hails Iran civilization, cultural heritage

Belgrade, March 8, IRNA - Miklós Kásler, Hungarian Minister of Human Capacities, has praised Iranian culture and civilization, saying Iran enjoys historical background and has rich cultural heritage.

Addressing a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Budapest Gholam Ali Rajabi Yazdi, Kásler said Budapest supports developing cooperation and reinforcing relations with Iran in various fields.

Referring to over 2,000 Iranian students in Hungary, he expressed hope for increasing number of Iranian students by granting 100 scholarships per year.

He also appreciated Iranian embassy efforts in cultural and public diplomacy [JB emphasis], saying publishing Iranian prestigious books has provided an opportunity for Hungarian people to be familiar with Iranian culture and civilization.

Meanwhile, Rajabi Yazdi presented a report of the measures taken for reinforcing cooperation in cultural, scientific and educational fields.

He added that two Hungarian archeologists will have trip to Iran to hold meetings with Iranian researchers and to visit historical and archeological sites in Iran.
