DESCRIPTION

The Public Diplomacy [JB emphasis] and Exchange intern works closely with a cross-section of staff teams, and may work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: exchange program support and logistics, research, writing, editing, and updating databases. Additional duties relating to the work of Global Ties U.S. in citizen diplomacy, public diplomacy, nonprofit leadership and international education and exchange as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Interest in the field of citizen diplomacy, public diplomacy, nonprofit leadership, global engagement, or international education and exchange.
  • Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented
  • Multi-cultural experience
  • Experience with graphic design (InDesign and Photoshop) desired, but not essential
  • Flexibility and willingness to work beyond the parameters of a job description
  • Ability to transition easily from working as a team player to working independently
