Find a report on the presentation about Singapore's nation brand given Monday by Ashok Kumar Mirpuri, Singapore's Ambassador to the United States, on our cosponsor's page. Our new Council president, Prof. Adam Clayton Powell III, reports Ambassador Mirpuri's account that "decades ago, Singapore was dismissed as "a little red dot." But what may have been intended as an insult became a term of pride, with "Little Red Dot" institutions sprouting through the country. Powell continues that "according to the Ambassador, it all began with two initiatives: education and business."
There are so many speeches and panel discussions in Washington, and so many that don't get reported. We're delighted to bring this readout to those who were with us and those who couldn't make it. Mark the dates you see for future First Monday Forums, and we hope to see you there.
