Austria is the seventh country to be visited by the Belarusian “people’s diplomats”. “We have secured all the rights of national minorities: language, culture and so on. It should be remembered that Russian cultural society Саrіnthіа was founded by our compatriot in 2008. Today it employs about sixty people, and the General festivities going about three hundred members. They all are Belarusians, Russians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Chechens — natives of the former USSR.
Ella lives in Austria since 2002, has three sons and has been successfully working in the tourist industry. Husband is Austrian. This is the main purpose — to unite people despite political developments”.
According to her, the people who came to Austria at different times and for different reasons, welcomed with joy the news of the creation of our social organization. They had the opportunity to converse in their native language, to acquaint children to the cultural heritage of their ancestors. In “Carinthia” also help those people who first arrives in Austria: on all issues faced by the people in a foreign country.
“We know firsthand how difficult it is to adapt to a new place, without support, friends or parents,” says Ella.
The efforts of this young woman and the activists of the Russian society created a Sunday school for children in Plaju and Klagenfurt. Here are taught to read and write in Russian, doing performances based on folk tales. Moreover, in Plaju created a group for teaching children arts and craft, drawing, art.
