For more than 10 years, USC’s Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD) has hosted a two-week Summer Institute for public diplomats from around the world. This two-week program reflects the fast-changing diplomacy landscape while providing a wide range of hands-on skills and analytical capabilities essential for high-impact public diplomacy practice, integrating academic scholarship and real-world problem-solving.
The Summer Institute is the most comprehensive, cutting-edge professional training program of its kind, and 2016 is poised to be our most remarkable program yet:
- 2016’s Summer Institute will host over 30 participants from 10 countries including Australia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Philippines, Qatar, Tunisia, and the United States.
- Participants represent numerous organizations including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Qatar, Tunisia, and the Philippines; the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Defense, the Australian Department of Trade & Development, the Japan Foundation, the Korea Foundation, Mexico’s President’s Office, the Qatar Media Corporation, the Tunisian Institute for Strategic Studies, and Russia’s ARU Television.
