Escambia and Santa Rosa County high school students graduating in 2019 are encouraged to apply for a new leadership program.
The Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council announced its Youth Diplomats Program, which will enable local students to participate in five monthly workshops and activities. From there, eight students will be chosen to go to Washington, D.C. for two days to explore global issues and public diplomacy.
There is no cost for the local program, but if chosen for the trip, there is a fee. Anyone interested in learning more can do so through the organization’s website, www.gulfcoastdiplomacy.org.
