At this year’s Swiss Ball, we also had another “special guest” make an appearance: the new #SwissTouch table, which will travel across the US in 2017 as part of a public diplomacy campaign from Switzerland to foster conversations around a digital table!

Giorgio Pompilio, Deputy Consul General, presented the table and explained the role of #SwissTouch for inspiring conversations on issues important to both Swiss and Americans. The public diplomacy campaign offers every participant—online and offline—a seat at the table by offering audiences opportunities to watch, listen to and participate in conversations with opinion leaders on topics that matter most to their communities. From technology to diplomacy, and climate change to entrepreneurship, the campaign and affiliated events will showcase collaborations from around the world that drive innovation and identify new solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.
