This new video from CPD spotlights the significance of U.S-Mexico relations, bilateral trade ties, and how the campaign rhetoric of U.S. presidential hopefuls is impacting Mexico’s image of America. The event took place March 29, 2016 at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and featured a distinguished group of panelists including Arturo Sarukhan, former Mexican Ambassador to the U.S.; León Krauze, journalist, author and news anchor; Pamela Starr, Director, US-Mexico Network @ USC and Associate Professor of Public Diplomacy and International Relations at USC; and moderator Tom Hollihan, Professor of Communication at USC. The panelists offered a candid take on U.S-Mexico cooperation, with Sarukhan concluding that “there is no more important relationship for the future prosperity and security of the United States than the relationship with Mexico.”
