The Communications and Public Diplomacy Manager develops and implements communications and public diplomacy plans for Australia Awards South and West Asia (AASWA), and in so doing contributes to and supports the achievement of the Program’s objectives by: (i) increasing the visibility of the Program in the South and West Asia region as well as in Australia, in order to enhance recognition of Australia as an active partner in development in the region; and (ii) supporting country programs in Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in ensuring that an appropriate pool of Awards applicants is generated, from which awardees might be selected who meet DFAT’s goals for number, quality, development focus, geographic spread, and social inclusion.
