The annual conference of Polish Ambassadors in Warsaw

The annual conference of Polish Ambassadors started today in Warsaw. Me and my department have been responsible for the programme of this gathering and are thrilled to observe how the conference unfolds. This conference reminds me of reflections on the contemporary diplomacy and new tasks that are faced by diplomats. More on this in my presentation available here: https://lnkd.in/g8sJ_Qx "[T]his year’s conference will focus on issues associated with Poland’s non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council, which begins in 2018, and European issues, including the future of the European Union in the context of Brexit and the evolution of the internal market. Other themes that will be discussed include security, public, cultural, and economic diplomacy and the organisation of the COP24 climate summit in Poland next year. [...T]he chiefs of diplomacy of Slovakia Miroslav Lajcák and of Estonia Sven Mikser and Polish cabinet ministers: Deputy Prime Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki and Piotr Gliński, MoD head Antoni Macierewicz and Minister of the Environment Jan Szyszko and others were invited to the conference. “The Conference will be attended by thirty guests from Poland and abroad”. https://lnkd.in/e2iRbYh
