BEIJING, March 8 (Yonhap) -- A total of 104 Chinese bloggers were assigned by the South Korean Embassy in Beijing on Tuesday to promote people-to-people ties with South Korea and help the two nations further cement bilateral relations.
The move is part of the embassy's public diplomacy drive aimed at enhancing friendship between the two countries, officials said.
South Korean Ambassador to China, Kim Jang-soo, asked the Chinese bloggers to become a "bridge" of friendship between the two nations.
The Chinese bloggers will try to promote mutual understanding and trust between the two nations through the embassy's Weibo account, officials said. Weibo is China's version of Twitter.
