The U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy will meet in open session in Room 106 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building (First Street at Constitution Avenue, NW) in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, March 8 from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

The Commission Members will welcome Mr. Michael D. Lumpkin, the Coordinator of the new Global Engagement Center at the Department of State. Mr. Lumpkin will discuss the newly formed center and how it will coordinate, integrate and synchronize messaging to foreign audiences that undermines the disinformation espoused by violent extremist groups, including ISIL.

This meeting is open to the public, Members and staff of Congress, the Department of State, Department of Defense, the media, and other governmental and non-governmental organizations. To attend and make any requests for reasonable accommodation, please e-mail pdcommission@state.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016. Please plan to arrive by 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8 to allow time to pass through security.
