International Advocacy in the Digital Age, Workshop #3

Global Affairs Canada and the USC Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD) will jointly host a special forum that that will explore results measurement for public diplomacy and advocacy activities conducted by foreign ministries and international organizations.
Particular focus will be placed on the exploration of (1) the various tools, data and approaches used to measure the results of public diplomacy and advocacy activities, and (2) how effectively they have been used to demonstrate results and evaluate these activities.
The workshop will bring together representatives from eight foreign ministries, as well as NATO and the UN, to share best practices and learn from one another. The session will also include industry participants and others. The first day (April 20) will be a closed session focused on case study presentations and discussions, while the second day (April 21) will be a more public, interactive session that will incorporate industry participants and others.
This Forum is a follow-up to a successful series of workshops between CPD and Global Affairs Canada, which were held in the U.S. in April 2015, and in Italy inFebruary 2016. Both brought together representatives from various foreign ministries to share insights and lessons from both traditional and digital advocacy campaigns.
This event is by invitation only. For more information, please email singber@usc.edu.
You can also follow the discussion online under the hashtag #Diplometrics.
