Amman, Apr 5 (Petra) -- The governments of Jordan and the United States of America signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote partnership in electronically countering violence and terrorism.

The MoU, which was signed by Jordan's ambassador to U.S., Alia Bouran and U.S. Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, Richard Stengel, calls for unifying efforts and responding quickly and efficiently to the ideology of Daesh terrorist gang and other terrorist organizations and stopping the recruitment of foreign fighters and financing terrorism.

It also calls for giving the opportunity for independent and active voices in Jordan and the region to promote tolerance for the sake of the future of the region.
