On March 26, the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund’s Board of Trustees held a meeting chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The participants reviewed the organisation’s work in 2017 and discussed its priorities for the upcoming period.

The participants noted that, against the backdrop of toughening global competition, ‘soft power’ approaches are becoming increasingly important to effectively resolve the tasks of enhancing Russia’s reputation and promoting a positive, balanced and unifying international agenda. In this context, the Fund’s important role was highlighted in supporting the initiatives of Russian civil society to develop a constructive and mutually respectful dialogue with other countries’ peoples.
