Main tasks include:
Producing and updating a comprehensive communications and social media strategy for the Embassy which is in line with the Ministry's instructions regarding country branding
- Collaborating with the Political, Commercial and Cultural Section of the Embassy for the optimal coverage of all Embassy-related events
- Producing high quality contents in Spanish and English (and, if possible, Finnish) to be published in all of the Embassy's media channels (website, intranet, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Drafting speeches in Spanish and English about various topics related to Finnish culture and industries
- Drafting press releases in Spanish about official and commercial visits or events related to the Embassy
- Final editing of all public communications published by the Embassy staff
- Daily monitoring of the media/social media and reporting about news related to Finland
- Acting as Community Manager for the Embassy's social media channels
- Graphic design (banners, brochures and invitations related to the Embassy's activities)
- Occasional translation of articles and other printed material
- Giving presentations about Finland in different events, such as student fairs and cultural events
- Covering Minister level visits from Finland and commercial delegation visits to Finland, including the coordination of interviews
- Developing good working relations with local media and managing an up-to-date contact list of the relevant local and regional press
- Develop country branding campaigns for the Nordics in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Lima
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other relevant field
- Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English
- Relevant work experience
- Excellent writing skills
- Basic multimedia skills (incl. photography, filming and editing)
- Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Soft skills (proactive, self-starter, great communicator, people skills, detail-oriented, strong work ethics)
- Familiar with the Nordic countries and the values that they represent
Language requirements:
Spanish (native-level), fluent in spoken and written English. Finnish and/or Swedish is a plus.
Considered a significant plus:
Working knowledge of the Finnish language
Experience living in a Nordic country or working for a Nordic country
Experience in country branding
Experience working with the press

Monthly gross salary
S/ 6,500 soles – S/ 8,000 depending on experience (14 salaries per year)
The terms of the contract abide by local legislation.
Start Date
July 2nd, 2018 (fixed-term contract; 2 years with a chance of renewal)
