Emerging entrepreneurs discuss innovative technologies

As many as 32 emerging entrepreneurs from Coimbatore, including 22 women took part in the tech camp organised by the US Consulate General in association with Global India Fund.

According to a release, four experts from India and the United States led the interactive training on innovative technologies available to start-ups in order to take their business to next level.

The camp was inaugurated by Lauren Lovelace, Consul for Public Diplomacy [JB emphasis] and Public Affairs, from U.S. Consulate General Chennai. She stressed that US was committed to create an environment that empowers innovators especially women and first-generation business owners.

The sessions were led by Harish Kotra, co-founder, Fests.info, Vijayaraghavan M. Chariar, Chairman, Ekam Eco Solutions, Nishant Pagare,

Communication Professional, Syncline Films Pvt. Ltd and Helen Campbell, English Language Fellow, U.S. Consulate General, offered practical guidance on how to network, grow and expand the entrepreneurs’ businesses. In addition, the Nexus Startup Hub, which is housed in the American Center in New Delhi, provided a virtual orientation about training opportunities available to emerging entrepreneurs.

Kathleen Hosie, Information Officer, U.S. Consulate General, Chennai, gave away certificates and urged the participating entrepreneurs to remain connected with one another. This is the second tech camp for emerging entrepreneurs held in South India. The first camp was held in Chennai in July last year, the release added.
