Bahamas and Korea Celebrate 30 Years of Diplomatic Relations

Image from article, with caption: In observance of the 30th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the Republic of Korea, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to The Bahamas, resident in the Dominican Republic, His Excellency OH Hangu and his wife travelled to Nassau and led commemorative activities, the height of which was a performance of “Sounds of Korea” by members of the New York Korean Performing Arts Center on Friday evening at the British Colonial Hilton. The Ambassador and his wife are pictured seated in the front row, next to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Urban Development the Hon. Philip Davis. To commemorate the momentous occasion of the 30th Anniversary of diplomatic relations, His Excellency OH Hangu, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to The Bahamas – resident in the Dominican Republic – and his wife traveled to Nassau to lead commemorative activities on the part of Korea. “Sounds of Korea” by the New York Korean Performing Arts Center (KPAC) performed a special one-night event at the British Colonial Hilton on 16 October 2015. ...
Ambassador Oh presented his credentials to Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling, GCMG, Governor-General of The Bahamas, and on that occasion, Ambassador Oh said that the Korean government cherished its relationship with The Bahamas, and he expressed his most sincere gratitude and appreciation for all the support that The Bahamas had demonstrated in their common international efforts. It is in the spirit of the Korean government’s fulfilment of its international exchange and public diplomacy – a main priority of that government – that this event has been organised jointly with The Bahamas.
