We achieve this through a unique and diverse collection of programs fostering cultural exchange, eco-fair trade, volunteerism, personal development, and environmentalism.
Within Greenheart International, this department engages with exchange programs for young professionals. These programs include the Summer Work Travel program, Intern and Trainee programs, as well as the Teach USA program. The purpose of each of these programs is to promote public diplomacy [JB emphasis] and good faith between the United States and other countries through the opportunity to work in American businesses and schools.
About our ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate is positive, proactive, and responsible; and possesses a keen attention to detail. S/he should have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. This person should be comfortable with asking questions, and is looking to build on their experience with various projects and initiatives within the field of Marketing.
The selected candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility in role as assignments and objectives shift depending on the needs at that time. The right applicant is highly organized and comfortable with administrative work, in addition to creative problem solving and communication.
Duties:
Take enthusiastic initiative to maintain and grow Greenheart Exchange’s Professional Exchange Programs department as a leader in the industry, by assisting in all marketing initiatives for the department. The Marketing Assistant will work primarily on marketing related items, but will work closely with the Outreach division and interns within the department. Primary focus of this role will be in assisting in the following:
Maintaining brand standardization – This includes updating one pagers, collateral support, digital management upkeep, and website content creation.
Promotional items– This includes research on marketing trends, managing inventory, ordering new promotional items and communicating with vendors.
Conferences and tradeshow – This includes packing, shipping or restocking related to conferences and trade shows.
Testimonials – This includes collecting and tracking testimonials and photos, as well as logging into the database.
Videos and website – This includes copy editing scripts and website pages, updating necessary content, as well as assisting during filming.
Google analytics – This includes implementing, tracking, and analyzing a search engine optimization strategy and monitoring Google alerts.
Statistical and industry analyses – This includes researching, compiling, and maintaining the statistical and industry analyses.
General support for the department – The assistant would be responsible for assisting in other miscellaneous duties for the department, including internal and external procedural copy editing, basic lead generation, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Creative and out-of-the-box thinking
Self-directed and flexible with an exceptional ability to multi-task
Efficiency with data entry, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in an exhilarating and fast-paced environment
An ability to interact and communicate with groups of all ages, nationalities, ethnicities and backgrounds
Genuine desire to contribute to an organization that promotes cultural exchange and environmental consciousness
Outgoing personality with a willingness to learn
Strong work ethic and excellent written, oral, interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent computer skills with competence in Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Experience with Photoshop and other similar applications is a plus, though is not necessary
Preferred: Experience studying, volunteering, or working abroad
