Moscow is hosting a week-long summer school for students from the BRICS countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
The programme sees 35 young scientists, journalists and students debate and discuss challenges facing the five emerging economies.

Classes are being led by a team of international experts, and organizers are hoping the week will "open new horizons for the participants."
All of the tuition is free, but applicants had to make a strong case as to why they should be chosen for the course.

South African graduate Spjiwe Dlamini told CGTN that the school was a great opportunity to network and find out what challenges other young people across the world were facing.
Topics of debate range from cybercrime to cryptocurrency, to global governance and finance.

The emphasis is on how Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa can tackle these topics together.
Wu Fei from Beijing said he wants to hear what the experts think about the shifting power balance in world politics, and how the changes in world trade order will affect the BRICS alliance.

The school has been organized by the Russian National Committee on BRICS Research, in partnership with the Alexander Gorchakova Public Diplomacy Fund.
The executive director of the BRICS Research committee said the BRICS are "the most dynamic, young and advancing counties in the world."
