John Brown [Slightly edited FB entry] Well, in Krakow Poland 86-90 (eons ago?), where I had the privilege of being posted there as a USA dip, offering/receiving flowers [kwiaty, if my failing Polish serves me right] (that did not look like colored toilet paper) was an essential part of so-called "public diplomacy."
