Foreign Minister receives representatives of the Ethiopian Public Diplomacy Delegation

At the beginning of their visit to Egypt, which includes a meeting with Egyptian President Abd El Fatah El Sisi and a number of Egyptian officials, Sameh Shoukry Foreign Minister, received on Sunday, December 6, Ms. Mulu Solomon, former Head of the Chamber of Commerce in Addis Ababa and Ms. Herut Wldmariam Vice President of Addis Ababa University, representatives of the Ethiopian Public Diplomacy delegation.

Counselor Ahmed Abu Zeid Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry stated that Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed during the meeting on the special and historic Egyptian - Ethiopian relations, and the important and vital role played by the Public Diplomacy delegations in promoting understanding among nations and achieving community outreach at all levels, serving people's interests and enhancing confidence-building measures.

Abu Zeid added that the meeting was characterized by a high level of cordiality, and that the Ethiopian Public Diplomacy delegation representatives expressed the Ethiopian people's happiness towards progress on the path of bilateral relations between Egypt and Ethiopia, and what they noticed of genuine political will among the leaders of both countries aiming at promoting mutual understanding and achieving the interests of both countries to serve the Egyptians and Ethiopians, hence the interests of the African people as a whole.
