Job Description

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a think-tank of global repute, is planning to recruit a qualified senior professional who is interested to pursue a challenging career that demands commitment, initiative, creativity and public diplomacy skills. This is a management position of high responsibility where the candidate will be in overall charge of public affairs of CPD as the head of the Dialogue and Communication Division.
Responsibilities of the position will include:
  • designing and overseeing the implementation of a strategic communication plan for the Centre
  • planning, conceptualising, designing and undertaking outreach strategy as regards policy influencing initiatives
  • overseeing successful management of all CPD events
  • working as the “gatekeeper” of all publications and digital materials
  • providing leadership to the divisional activities and its staff
  • contribute in overall policy and management practice of CPD.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience of working in areas of development communication, advocacy and outreach activities in reputed institutions. S/he is expected to have Ph.D/ Masters Degree in Development Communication or in Social Sciences, Journalism or English or other related disciplines with at least three first division/class at any level of academic career. The candidate must have excellent articulation and drafting ability both in English and Bangla, as well as adequate management and communication skills. S/he should have the competence to undertake high frequency policy influencing initiatives. The prospective candidate should have minimum ten years of cumulative service experience of which at least five years in a leadership/senior supervisory position.
The candidate will be a person with excellent inter-personal skills who enjoys dealing and interacting with people and is proficient in networking. The job demands ability to work under pressure and with creativity and initiative. The candidate will be a team player with an amiable personality.

A gross salary starting from Taka 90 thousand per month will be offered to the successful candidate along with other admissible benefits. Actual compensation package will be based on assessment of the candidate’s qualifications and suitability including relevant experience.
