Would you like to be a trainee at the embassy in New Delhi? Here you will be able to deal with one of the world's most populous countries, one of the world's largest economies and a growing global political power factor.

The Embassy in New Delhi is seeking a skilled intern for Public Diplomacy [JB emphasis] in spring 2019.

Application deadline: Monday, 3 September 2018 at. 12.00 Danish time.

The internship is for six months and runs from 1 February 2019 until 31 July 2019.

As a trainee in public diplomacy, it will be your job to strengthen Denmark's reputation in India. Your role as public diplomacy trainee involves a general participation in the embassy's ongoing tasks in the communication-oriented area, and you will therefore have to solve many different tasks. Public diplomacy is part of the political department, and during the course of your internship you will gain insight into the political, cultural, economic and trade aspects of the embassy's work.

Specifically, the tasks will primarily consist in contributing ideas to and implementation of the Embassy's PR and communication activities as well as strategy, including:
  • Develop and maintain Embassy's website
  • Update the Embassy's Facebook page and Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter profile with relevant news, video clips and podcasts.
  • Schedule, organize and disseminate various cultural events, meetings and seminars
  • Participate in intercultural and political events
  • Conduct lectures for high school classes from Denmark
  • Make information searches
  • Participate and contribute to the cross-sectoral group on digitization
You must be familiar with information searching on the internet as well as being outgoing, independent and creative. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the Sitecore platform, but not a requirement.
