Our Mission:
The Kyiv Centre for Public Diplomacy [JB emphasis] (KCPD) is a non-governmental organization working with prominent universities, international institutions, state agencies, media platforms, think tanks and other NGOs from around the globe.
We are committed to the ideals of universal peace, multicultural worldwide fellowship, and constructive dialogue among various communities.
It is our ambition to facilitate the progress of civil society on its way toward a much greater role in world affairs.
We aim to bring the knowledge of diplomacy to the people and inspire more individuals to build human-to-human bridges across borders and continents.
As a Ukrainian NGO, we hope to reinforce Ukraine’s ties with other countries and other cultures.
We intend to inform the international audiences about the developments in Ukraine and in our neighbourhood while helping the public, politicians, and government officials at home to get a better grasp of important events, trends, or tendencies in international life.
We believe that our efforts are to contribute into strengthening Ukraine’s positive reputation in both foreign and domestic dimensions.

Andrii Vitrenko is an advisor to Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
In 2014-2016, he served as Vice Minister of Culture for European Integration.
In 2005-2007 and 2009-2014 – political counselor and head of MEPs office at the European Parliament (Brussels-Strasbourg).
2001-2004 – expert at the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation (Kyiv).
Areas of expertise: institutions of the European Union; relations with the EU member states; European integration of Ukraine; Ukraine-Poland relations; cooperation in the sphere of culture and cultural diplomacy; cooperation between state and civil society; rights and interests of national/ethnic minorities in Ukraine; national and ethnic minorities in international politics.

Dmytro Ishchenko, PhD, is a historian and a researcher in political, sociocultural, and diplomatic affairs. He teaches History of International Relations at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Political Department, International Relations Program).
Between 2002 and 2010, Dmytro served as a diplomat and political analyst at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (2002-2006) and the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union (2006-2010).
In 2010, he returned to academic and research work at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Areas of expertise: history of international relations and diplomatic history; cultural and social history; history of ideas; national identities and nationalisms; ethnic conflicts and conflicts of civilizations; foreign policies, strategies and ideologies; theories and practices of diplomacy.

Liudmyla Vitrenko holds a Doctorate in Political Science.
She worked at the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation (Kyiv) and the Foreign Policy Research Institute of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (Kyiv).
As an academic researcher, Liudmyla examined the integration of Balkan countries into the European Union. As a political expert, she deals with the matters of Ukraine’s movement toward the EU and NATO.
Areas of expertise: the EU and NATO Institutions; the EU and NATO Enlargement; European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine; domestic and foreign policies of the Balkan states and the states of Central and Eastern Europe.

Oksana Zabuzova is an expert in the realm of higher education and its social impact. She has been working at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy for twenty years.
Between 1998 and 2017, Oksana was a leading counsellor responsible for the functioning of the Kyiv-Mohyla Doctoral School. In 2017, she joined the International Relations team at the Political Science Department of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Oksana’s professional interests encompass institutional, sociocultural, pedagogical, and psychological matters, as well as in-depth analysis of educational systems.
Areas of expertise: education, social mobility, and cultural upbringing; education and its connection to national/international security; reforms in higher education; East European and Post-Soviet identities; the issues of social behavior, gender, manners, and etiquette.

Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (since 2015 and in 1997-2004),
Member of the European Parliament (2004-2007, 2009-2013), Secretary of State for Media Relations at the Chancellery of the President of Poland (2007-2009), Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland (2015), recipient of two Ukrainian Orders of Merit (2008, 2010), a great friend of Ukraine and a staunch supporter of Ukraine’s European/Euro-Atlantic integration.

Mr. Fabio del Alisal:
Mr. del Alisal is a well-reputed figure on International and European Regulatory affairs and politics. For many years, he has worked with and for the European Union Institutions (European Commission, Parliament and Council) and Governments in Europe, America, South Asia and North Africa. Mr. del Alisal has been leader and manager of a wide arrange of international expert teams for International bodies. Among others, he served as the Leader manager of the European Union Official Twinnings in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Poland, Israel, Jordan and as an expert for various projects in many other countries.
As a Lawyer, Mr. del Alisal worked at the European Commission’s Directorate General for COMPETITION (Antitrust Law) and has been a chief consultant for many international investors, including such global institutions as the World Bank, the Interamerican Bank for Development, and the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction.
Since 2000, Mr. del Alisal has been the Director for International Affairs at CNMC (Competition&Regulatory Authority of Spain), while his extensive academic experience made him Professor and Director of International Affairs at Universidad Ramon Llull – Blanquerna Faculty for International Affairs (2014-2016). In addition, he has been a Professor at ESADE Business School, ESIC Business School, the European Institute of Florence, Pompeu University, University Anahuac del Sur (Mexico), University of Barcelona, and many other Universities at Master level.
Since 2017, Mr. del Alisal has been a visiting lecturer at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and an advisor for the Academy’s International Relations Program.
