Applications are sought from suitably qualified candidates with a strong background in War Studies, Strategic Communications, Political Communications, and/or Political Marketing to support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in those areas.

The successful candidate will have wide ranging knowledge of debates and current developments in security and international relations. Also, they will ideally have practical experience with the topics above and be able to relate applied and theoretical concepts to students in an engaging manner. Teaching experience is desirable. A completed PhD in a relevant field is mandatory.

This post is fixed for 3 years.

The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 to £43,685 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.

The Department of War Studies values diversity and inclusion and is currently awaiting the result of their Athena SWAN Bronze application.

The selection process will include a presentation and a panel interview. Interviews are scheduled to be held at the end of March/April.
