NATO has hired DC-based PA shop Agenda and London-headquartered marketing firm Engine to handle communications across its 28 member-states and beyond. The five-year assignment consists of a package of strategic communications, branding, advertising, video, digital and social media components. Doug Turner, Agenda founding partner, said the win followed a "long and highly competitive process." He said in a statement, "There is no greater challenge -- and reward -- than helping the Alliance deal with a new generation of security threats." An Agenda spokesperson told O'Dwyer's the overall aim of the work is to deliver NATO’s messages to external audiences in a more effective manner. There was no incumbent. In 2011, Agenda worked with NATO on its "Allies in America" campaign and public diplomacy tour of the US. |
