President inaugurates calligraphy exhibition at FO

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday inaugurated an Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition at Foreign Office.

A book ‘Allama Bil Qalam’ was also launched at the occasion. Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Pervaiz Rashid, Leader of the House in the Senate Senator Raja Zafarul Haq, federal secretaries, members of the diplomatic corps, artists, scholars and academicians attended the event. The event was part of the public diplomacy initiatives that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been undertaking to promote the positive image of Pakistan.

The book showcases the work of some of Pakistan’s eminent calligraphists and artists. The book has been published by the Foreign Affairs Ministry and illustrates the work of 56 prominent artists. ...
