Hi John,
Regarding Mrs. Obama's PD power, you may appreciate this dialog I found on Facebook between a (Sanders-supporting) mother and her daughter:

[Daugher]: when are we going to the President's house?
Me: you mean the White House?
[Daugher]: Yes, I need to talk to the President (what's his name again?) And his wife Michelle
Me: what do you want to tell them?
[Daugher]: I need to tell him "i love you and I promise I will be at the voting place to see who the next President is going to be. I like the girl who's trying to be president, not the boys"
Best regards,
Jed
